eBusiness Manager for InsuranceMall.in – India’s first Compare & Buy Insurance Portal
( www.Insupedia.com ) Bonsai InsuranceMall.in – India’s first and largest Online Insurance B2C Portal is looking to hire a smart eBusiness Manager to manage its e-Channel Distribution business. Professional with Insurance background and flair for web business & new technology is expected out of this role. You will be both Hunter (Sales & BD) and Farmer (Project Manager), thus growing this business independently. Will be responsible for Product, People and Profetability.
• Identifies key online systems and process opportunities
• Performs business analysis functions and serves in liaison roles between product areas and IT application development resources, fostering and maintaining relationships with partners across the organization
• Manages initiatives focused on customer adoption, utilization, cost reduction, and revenue generation
• Coordinates the definition of business, user and operational requirements for a single portal product or feature
• Works with teammates and business partners to define the strategy for leveraging the online channel to fulfill business goals and increase user satisfaction
• Defines and documents business requirements by working closely with product and service partners, legal, IT, etc.
• Leads the design of the online user experience by initiating and participating in market research and usability testing for validation of business requirements and proposed user experience
• Assesses operational impacts of portal enhancements and works with product/service partners to develop operational processes
• Works with multiple Business teams to prioritize business requirements to develop the project scope
• Analyzes technical, research, budget, and operational constraints and communicates to teammates.
• Documents and communicates all relevant information in a timely fashion for assigned projects
• Ensures compliance with product development process guidelines by contributing to and overseeing the successful implementation of all non-IT phases of the process (business objectives definition, business requirements, user acceptance testing, etc.)
• Acts as Insurance SME - subject matter expert for assigned portal product or features.
• Escalates issues and proposes solutions in a timely fashion to the Top Management.
• Contributes to the yearly product development planning process; contributes to the ongoing improvement of the product development process.
• Performs other related duties as assigned or required.
• At least 1-3 years direct work experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Adept at conducting research into project-related issues and products
• Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial
• Ability to direct and manage project development from beginning to end
• Ability to define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
• Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential
• Persuasive, encouraging, and motivating
• Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments
• Nice to have web based project management experience preferred
