Vendor Insurance Outsourcing Specialist

Responsibilities include working with both new and renewal contracts. This includes drafting and negotiating IT contracts, statements of work, service level agreements and amendments for compliance with company requirements, goals and business directives. In addition to managing reviews, you will be responsible for understanding and incorporating organizational service standards, interfacing with IT and legal to ensure approval and compliance, resolving contractual language, and monitoring activities to ensure vendor performance.
To qualify, you should have a bachelor’s degree in a technical/business field, and five years of progressively responsible experience in contract administration/vendor management, which emphasized external vendor selection and interface. Any experience with RFI/RFP processes, or within the health insurance industry, would be an asset. Familiarity with the following is also essential: contracting concepts, auditing procedures, managed care, health insurance and the legal/regulatory landscape in NY and NJ. Solid communication, analytical, interpersonal, problem-solving and technical skills are required, which should include working with windows applications and various databases.
