
As the time went pass 5:00 pm, the traffic leading Navi Mumbai from Mumbai City was looked like a never ending chain blinded with vehicles. All was heading to witness the ultimate much anticipated IPL 2010 season in the DY Patil stadium in Navi Mumbai with the promise of unparalleled cricket and entertainment .
As the time hit 6:45 IST, Ravi Shastri welcomed world’s top cricket official Lalit Modi to give a boastful speech to ring the bell of IPL 3.
Shastri invited the captains of the eight teams to sign the MCC Spirit of Cricket board – to sign the MCC Spirit of Cricket board.

The ceremony ended with the act of R&B legend Lionel Richie who performed his hit single “Dancing on the Ceiling.” The ceremony ended with a spectacular display of fireworks, heralding the start of DLF Indian Premier League 2010.
